Alexandria Brown, otherwise known as the Ezine Queen, kindly shared her success story and expertise with the members of Wonderful Web Women in an interview on July 30, 2007.  She has an incredible wealth of small business marketing knowledge, but let me just share with you some of the things she talked about during that call- including the seven important ways that an ezine helps a business.  What I found extremely useful about these tips was that they not only work for people who already have an established business, but are also extremely helpful to people who are just starting a business, too!

Ezines Allow You To Market One to Many

When you don’t have a list of people to market to, you might find yourself running around the city trying to market your products and services to one person at a time.  As you can imagine, this would take a long time to reach a large number of people!  With ezines, you can write your message once and get it in front of many people all at the same time.


Ezines Sell More

Ali explained how ezine’s sell more of your products and/or services than the traditional “bragging method” of advertising.  You can share what you know and help people trust you with your weekly or bi-weekly ezine- and therefore it’s like providing them with samples of your knowledge before they buy!

Ezines Position You As An Expert

When people perceive you as an expert, they trust and buy from you.  It’s as simple as that!  Ezines allow you to use articles and tips, and even frequently asked questions to position yourself as an expert on your topic.

Stay in Touch

People are bombarded with marketing messages everywhere they go.  Ali spent some time explaining how important it is to keep your own products and services in front of your potential customers as often as possible.  Then, when they need something you offer- you’ll be the first person they think of.

Spreading the Word: Effortlessly
